Sponsored by a grant from the Tony and Renee Marlon Foundation

The Martha’s Vineyard Camp-Meeting Association (MVCMA), in conjunction with Vineyard Nursing Association, will be holding two Health Fairs this summer: July 22 from 9am to Noon and August 12 from 9am to Noon. 

 The purpose of the Health Fairs is to promote better health awareness for Island residents, encourage individuals to assume more responsibility for their own health and to allow Island healthcare providers and agencies to reach more people. The events will be open to all and free.

Vineyard Nursing Association (VNA) will be providing nurses for various wellness screening (blood pressure checkup, cholesterol tests, etc.). There will be 10 to 12 (+/-) agencies/companies participating, in addition to VNA. The participants include:

  • Martha’s Vineyard Hospital 

  • American Red Cross

  • Elder Services

  • Oak Bluffs Senior Center

  • MV Center for Living

  • Vineyard Audiology

  • Community Services

  • MV Health Care Access

  • Lime Disease Support Group

  • Dukes County Veterans Support

  • Vinyard Complimentary Medicine

goal is to have a fun, educational event that encourages people to be more aware of and active in making positive decisions to promote better health.
