24 Butler Avenue

This is among a handful of cottages within the MVCMA that has survived into the 21st century nearly untouched by significant modifications. After 100 years of ownership by the same family, the current owner updated the kitchen, bathrooms, electricity and plumbing in 2017.  There are 3 bedrooms, one full & one half bathrooms, with both indoor and outdoor showers. The house sleeps 6 comfortably with 2 bedrooms that have a double bed each and one bedroom with a single bed and trundle.

There is parking for one car at the house, however, guests are encouraged to walk or bike. There's grocery shopping, a post office, a hardware store, other shopping, cafés and restaurants, and entertainment all within walking distance on Circuit Ave in Oak Bluffs.

There are two side yards with grass to enjoy being bare-footed. One is accessed from the kitchen for grilling and eating outside, and the other yard is accessed from the side porch. Like many cottages, there is no air conditioning so guests are encouraged to spend the daytime out of doors, and open windows in the evening to capture breezes at night. There are electric fans in each room, and a propane heater in the front room to take the chill off of an occasional rainy or brisk day.

Guests must bring their own towels and sheets, or rent locally from Takemmy Linen Rental or Martha's Linen Rental. You can request rentals online and should do so 3 or more weeks in advance. The companies deliver but may ask for clear driving instructions as GPS doesn't always work well in the Campgrounds.

Enjoy your stay!
