Office Assistant
The Office Assistant is a full time, year round role and is responsible for assisting the General Manger in all areas of MVCMA Office Operations. This person will have an in depth knowledge of MVCMA policies and procedures. Some responsibilities include greeting guests, answering phones, receiving and managing lease documents, and other general administrative duties. The Office Assistant should have good listening and interpersonal skills, be professional, friendly, highly organized, communicate clearly and have the ability to juggle several priorities at once. Hours are Monday – Friday 9AM - 3PM (4PM in July and August) with the addition of Saturdays from 9AM- 12PM in July and August.
Security Crew Member
The Security Crew Member is a seasonal, part-time role that is responsible for ensuring the security of the building and premises. This person will patrol the property and will have a firm knowledge and understanding of the MVCMA rules. Other responsibilities include assisting residents with general questions pertaining to campground regulations, enforcing a quiet environment, checking parking permits, addressing complaints, and issuing warnings. To perform this job successfully, this individual must have a drivers license and be able to drive a golf cart. Must have customer relations skills and be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Hours are 9PM – 2AM (July and August).
Program Assistant 2022
The Program Assistant is responsible for coordination and execution of seasonal events held on MVCMA grounds during the months of July and August. The Program Assistant oversees the production of the event calendar and communicates with all staff and appropriate committee members, to ensure smooth production of all services, programs, and events.
Timeframe for employment: June through August (10 week total) for 35 hours a week. This position includes evenings and weekends.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists in the production of the Summer Season Calendar, and ensures accurate and timely communication to all necessary staff and volunteers, including changes that may arise.
- Oversees production of events from contracts GM has approved for the venue. Follows-up with venue rentals, deposit & insurance deadlines, and timely operational details from event planners.
- Finalizes Event Orders (EO's) for each event and ensures that pertinent details are shared with/scheduled for campground and community advertising venues* in coordination with the Communications Manager (*Campground Crier, Campground boards, newspapers, email and social media).
- Conducts weekly production meetings in July-Aug and ensures staff and volunteers review EO's for each event on calendar.
- Ensures venue is set-up and ready for both regularly scheduled and special events, and ensures that all equipment and supplies are available for the event to be successful.
- Attends events serving as campground host (often with a Program volunteer). Directs event leader of the Rental to resources, as needed and within common sense parameters. Stays for duration of event and may oversee breakdown. May direct staff as needed. Serves as point of contact for performer logistics for special events to follow the event order requirements previously approved by GM.
- Creates and distributes posters and other marketing material on campus and sometimes island-wide. Helps to implement social media plan for summer programming, which may including video/streaming.
- Acts as an MVCMA ambassador while establishing and maintaining good working relationships with all MVCMA personnel and the general public.
- Maintains all records given to him/her, which can include contracts, financial information and attendance numbers on all events. Compiles this event data to be given to the Program Chair for the season summary and evaluation.
- May require cash handling before, during and after events. Follows established in-house protocols for securing funds nightly.
- Will perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
