Financials

Many donors are interested in the financial health of the organizations that they support. We are providing our most current financial statements for the information of all interested. Our most recent 990's may be found at the links provided here, and the following Q&A will help answer some of the most common questions that we hear.

Why does the MVCMA ask for donations?

Donations provide us with funds to advance our mission and support our grounds and historic Tabernacle for all to enjoy.

The MVCMA owns 34 acres of historic land centered on the original plot of land purchased in 1864. Expenses associated with maintaining our historic buildings and grounds are significant, and our standard funding sources are not enough to maintain the Tabernacle, the grounds, and our programming. Considering the size and complexity of the organization, we have a relatively small staff who are supported by the many people who donate their time. Without volunteers, our expenses would be much greater. We appreciate the donations that give us the opportunity to advance our mission and preserve our historic Tabernacle and grounds for all to enjoy.

Where does my donation go?

100% of the donations received go toward the designated fund or programming area. Choices include contributing toward our religious or community summer programs, or the Tabernacle Restoration Fund, to name a few.
