Many donors are interested in the financial health of the organizations that they support. We are providing our most current financial statements for the information of all interested. Our most recent 990's may be found at the links provided here, and the following Q&A will help answer some of the most common questions that we hear.
Why does the MVCMA ask for donations?
Donations give us the funds we need to support our grounds and historic Tabernacle for all to enjoy.
The MVCMA owns 34 acres and covers all of its day to day property maintenance expenses with the revenue from its land leases. Unfortunately, the expenses associated with maintaining our historic buildings and grounds are significant, and the revenue is not enough to maintain the Tabernacle and quality programming as well. Considering the size and complexity of the organization, we are leanly run. This is in no small part due to the many people who donate their time. Without those volunteers, our expenses would be much greater. We appreciate the donations that give us the opportunity to preserve our historic Tabernacle for all to enjoy.
Where does my donation go?
100% of the donations received go toward the designated fund or programming area. Choices include contributing toward our religious or community summer programs, or the Tabernacle Restoration Fund, to name a few.
