About the event
On Tuesday, August 1st there will be a lecture by Sarah Leaman: "Camping in the WIlderness: The Spiritual Significance of Nature in the American Campmeeting" back-to-back with a lecture by Sara Hines. Hines is the author of the book: Cottage Communities - The American Camp Meeting Movement: A Study in Lean Urbanism, which features many campmeetings, including our own. On Thursday, August 3rd there will be a lecture by Doug Thompson: “From the Campground to the Copeland District - A Photographic History of Architectural Imitation and Innovation in Oak Bluffs."
