MVCMA Memorial Offerings

IMG_0939_edited.jpg

The Spiritual Life Committee at the MVCMA hosts two services dedicated to honoring campgrounders who have passed since the previous season.

On Flagpole Sunday, the first Sunday service of July, the MVCMA President or Designated Representative will read the names of the campgrounders who have passed over the winter months to notify the community while raising the flag at the Tabernacle Flagpole to mark the start of a new summer season.

Memorial Sunday is hosted in mid to late August to honor all campgrounders who have passed since the last memorial service, and all families of the neighbors we have lost are honored during the service.

Additionally, our monthly General Manager newsletters notify of any recent passings in the community.

To notify the office of a family passing, please contact office@mvcma.org.

MVCMA Memorial Book

Every summer, the Spiritual Life Committee works to design a memorial book to be completed by Memorial Sunday, recording island based memories for us to cherish in the deceased's honor.

To submit a family member to the memorial service or book, make sure to contact office@mvcma.org or a representative from the Spiritual Life Team.
