Island Elderly Housing Hosts Second Songwriters Benefit Event on June 29th at the Tabernacle Island Elderly Housing will host its second annual Songwriters event to benefit affordable housing for the Island's elderly and disabled on Saturday. June 29th, 20204 at 7:30 pm In the Round at the Tabernacle.   The event will feature performances by Willy Mason, Lexie Roth, Jemima James, Lilah Larson, Rose Guerin, Amanda Palmer, Phil DaRosa, and more to be announced. The event will also include words by special guest and Pulitzer Prize-winning author Geraldine Brooks.

In 2023 Island Elderly Housing hosted their first Songwriters event, an inspirational night of music and community co-organized by Kate Taylor and Laurie David, featuring music by Ben Taylor, Isaac Taylor, John Fortè, Chadwick Stokes, Willy Mason, Lexie Roth, and Rose Guerin. Island Elderly Housing's Songwriters events are intended to raise funds and awareness for the organization, which provides affordable rental housing and quality-of-life services for the elderly and disabled on Martha's Vineyard.
