Oak Bluffs, MA — The Martha’s Vineyard Camp Meeting Association (MVCMA) is pleased to announce The Wallflowers as the headliner for the 2026 Tabernacle Live Benefit Concert that begins at 7:30pm on August 15, 2026.
The Martha’s Vineyard concert is part of their nationwide U.S. tour in 2026. The Wallflowers will mark the 30th anniversary of their landmark album Bringing Down the Horse by performing their classic album in its entirety, in sequence.
Influenced by a slew of first-generation American songwriters including The Band and Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, The Wallflowers will also pay tribute on the upcoming tour to the 50th anniversary of Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers by playing Petty’s 1982 album Long After Dark in its entirety and in sequence as well. Jakob Dylan, the band’s chief songwriter, remains a vital performer in American rock music.

The opener for the Tabernacle Live Benefit Concert will be local Martha’s Vineyard band Wolftrap. Wolftrap was formed at a dairy farm on the island of Martha’s Vineyard by Miguel Samuel and Bailey Mae Gardener. Their harmony-driven songwriting is rooted in the narrative folk tradition while embracing a philosophy of musical time-travel that has drawn comparisons to Dr. Dog, Fleetwood Mac, and Woody Guthrie.
The Tabernacle Live Annual Benefit Concert supports the MVCMA's work to offer a robust calendar of religious, cultural and community programs, and their ongoing commitment to preserve and protect the grounds and historic structures of this National Historic Landmark.
Tickets are now on sale, and 100% of the profits will support the MVCMA. For more information, visit mvcma.org.
